Job Description:

This position is a per diem position and does not guarantee a certain number of hours per week.  You will be working on an as needed basis. 

Provide quality individual or group tutoring services to students of LFCC based on a comprehensive understanding of concepts and information in courses to be tutored

Assist students in learning academic skills necessary for completion of college level courses

Give consistent feedback to students on achieved progress; exhibit positive regard for student

Uphold high levels of professionalism and student confidentiality at all times

Possess excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of integrity and personal responsibility

Arrange tutoring sessions with student(s) based on a schedule determined by the tutor and the student   

Complete a training regimen established by the Tutor Connection

Maintain tutor log, including documentation of time expended and tutoring accomplishments

Communicate any concerns to Tutor Connection staff

This position closes on May 31, 2010.  This position is $8.00 based upon education & experience.

Requirements:

Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0

Final grade of "A" or "B" in desired course(s) to tutor

Completion of a minimum of 12 college or university credits

Completed faculty recommendation form(s) for each desired course to tutor OR documented evidence of tutoring/instructional experience in an academic setting
