Job Description:
Receives all visitors to campus and directs them to appropriate college resources. Assist students in the registration process. Serves as information ambassador to all current students. Primary handler of college switchboard; answers and transfers all incoming phone traffic. Works with the Student Life Office to assist in new student orientations, outreach efforts and student activities. Maintains database on all prospective student contacts. Supervises activity in the "cyber center" registration area.
Requirements:
Computer applications in Microsoft Office specifically in word processing, mail merge, spread sheet, database, presentation software and desktop publishing. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in keyboarding, general office skills and ability to prioritize and organize tasks. Ability to provide enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable service to students and the public. Ability to multitask, maintain a high level of organization, and attention to detail. Ability to relate to potential students of diverse ages and backgrounds. High school diploma; associate's degree preferred. Experience working in the fields of customer service or public service desired. Related community college experience preferred. Salary range for this position is $20,082 - $30,648 dependent upon education and experience. This position will close at midnight on November 12, 2009.
